Photo guide

One item, a plain background, even light. Five frames are enough for most listings: front, back, label, a close-up of a defect, and scale. You can add up to eight photos. Use the extra three for a second defect, the inside, or an accessory.

  1. 1. Front

The whole item, flat and centered.

  2. 2. Back

Show the back, stitching, or sole.

  3. 3. Label

Brand, size, or model text should be readable.

  4. 4. Defect

Show a stain, tear, or worn spot up close.

  5. 5. Scale

Place a familiar object beside it. Do not invent measurements.

Light and framing

Daylight or one even lamp. Flash glare, dark corners, and blur weaken the result. Keep one item in the frame.

Leave these out

No face, address, license plate, ID, or document. Do not upload someone else’s photo.

A good photo does not verify price, authenticity, or regulations. You still check those.
